Kayak Rental & Launch Procedures
Enjoy a relaxing day on Country Club Lake with a kayak rental from Carolina Camp Cedar. Please review the procedures below before your visit.
We are officially offering kayak rentals on site! Reservations are available from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM every day and are currently accepted by phone only. To reserve a kayak, please call the Clubhouse at 864-878-6083.

Rentals & private launches
Check-In Requirements
All kayak rentals begin at the Clubhouse. Before renting a kayak, all participants must:
- Check in at the Clubhouse.
- Complete and sign a Release and Waiver of Liability form.
- Pay for the rental based on the amount of time reserved.

Cancellation Policy
- Cancellations made at least 24 hours before your reservation will receive a full refund.
- Cancellations made less than 24 hours before your reservation are non-refundable.
Bring Your Own Kayak
Guests are welcome to bring and launch their own kayak from our dock.
$10 per kayak, per day · Private Kayak Launch Fee
Please note:
- Private kayak launches must be reserved by phone at 864-878-6083.
- All guests must check in at the Clubhouse before accessing the lake.
- Every participant must complete and sign a Release and Waiver of Liability before launching.
- Guests who need a golf cart to transport their personal kayak to the lake will be charged the applicable golf cart rental fee.
Age Requirements
Ages 18 and Older
Guests 18 years of age or older may rent a kayak without adult supervision after completing and signing the required Release and Waiver of Liability.
Ages 17 and Under with a Valid Driver’s License
Guests 17 years old or younger who possess a valid driver’s license may rent a kayak; however:
- Both the minor and the accompanying parent or legal guardian must complete and sign the Release and Waiver of Liability.
- The parent or legal guardian must sign on behalf of the minor and accept responsibility before the rental can be approved.
Ages 17 and Under without a Driver’s License
Guests 17 years old or younger who do not possess a valid driver’s license must be accompanied by an adult who has a valid driver’s license. In addition:
- Both the minor and the accompanying parent or legal guardian must complete and sign the Release and Waiver of Liability.
- The parent or legal guardian must sign on behalf of the minor and accept responsibility.
- During the rental period, the Clubhouse will retain the accompanying adult’s valid driver’s license until all rental equipment has been returned.
Equipment Checkout
Once your reservation has been completed and paperwork is finished, you will receive:
- Kayak paddle(s)
- Life jacket(s) upon request
- A key to a golf cart
A Carolina Camp Cedar team member will escort you by golf cart to the lake, where they will:
- Unlock the kayak(s) from the storage rack.
- Assist with transporting the kayak(s) to the dock.
- Help launch the kayak(s) if needed.
Returning Your Equipment
After your time on the water:
- Return the kayak(s) to the storage rack.
- Place the kayak(s) back on the rack and securely lock them.
- Return to the Clubhouse with all paddles, life jackets, golf cart key, and any other issued equipment.
Once all rental equipment has been returned and accounted for, any driver’s license being held by the Clubhouse will be returned.
